Robot

Having regenerated for the fourth time, this episode finds The doctor joining UNIT to investigate the theft of some top secret plans as well as equipment.
Sarah Jane soon discovers that a robot is behind the theft and that it has been programmed, with the aid of the disentegrator gun, to use it to steal the operational codes that control the world's missiles.
The inventor of the robot, a scientist called Kettlewell is eventually killed by his own creation. Although the Doctor and Unit try to stop the missiles from launching, the robot, having had an electronic malfunction, goes on the rampage determined to kill off all of humanity.
The robot is finally destroyed by a metal virus with notes taken from Kettlewell's notebook.

The fourth Doctor regenerates
Logopolis

The Doctor stops off at Logopolis to try and fix the chameleon circiut on the Tardis but all the while he is being observed by 'the watcher.' Meanwhile the Doctor's old enemy the master, lies in wait with a plan that could destroy the whole universe.

In the end, the Master reveals his plan to hold the entire world to ransom. He tries to knock the Doctor from a telescopic dish. But before he falls to the ground, images of the Doctor's enemies flash before him and as he lies dying, more images, this time of all his companions, come to him.
As he takes his last breath he says, "It is the end...but the moment has been prepared." At this, the current companions turn and see the watcher coming towards them only to merge with the Doctor.
The watcher was the future Doctor all along.
