Whilst on Satelite Five, which is a game station, the Doctor soon discovers that it is about to be invaded by an old enemy, The Daleks!
The Doctor decides to breech the Dalek mothership and meet the Emperor, who has been converting humans into Daleks. The Doctor tried to create a delta wave but fails and so sends Rose back home.
However whilst Rose was in the Tardis, she had looked into the Time Vortex, something that no-one, not even Time Lords should do. To save Rose from dying, the Doctor absorbed the energy of the Time Vortex which sparks off his own regeneration.
