UNIVESITIES IN SRI LANKAN

SIGIRIYA ROCK

Sigiriya is located in the Mathale.District of the center province.sihgiriya was built by king kashyapa.It is a rock about 180 meters high. Murals are found of the stone walls inside sigiriya. There are also mirroed walls,ponds,amusement,park and swimming pools.Sigiriya is know as the lion rock. King kashyapa's place was built on top the sigiriya rock. sigiriya is a huge fortress.Many foreigners come to visit sigiriya.Sigiriya was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO.

SEETHAWAKA PARK

seethawaka wet zone botanical garden is one of the most popular parks in sri lanka.
the park located in avissawella in the wet zone of the island was opened to the public on march 25 2015.
Spead over an area of 62 acress the park is located near the sukkada mukalana forest.
the park which has a normal cool and temperate climate is also nourished by the water flowing throught it.
conservation of native and threatened and lowland wet zone plants of rathnapura sinharaja region is one of these parks.

Amazon rainforest

the amazon rain forest is ragarded as the largest rain forest in the world.
it is larger than the second and third largest rain forests combined .
its size is esimated to be 6.9 million square kilometers.

additionally the amazon river which the highest water densityu in the world.
flows through it and there are 17 river systems consisting of 1100 tributaries that are longer than 100 miles .
on days when water levels are higf the amazon river acn dischage about 500 billion cubic meters of water in to the atlantic ocean each day.
since the year 1978 over 750000 square kilometers of land has been destroyed from the amazon rain forest.
