Macchu Picchu, Peru
Macchu Picchu stands 3,000 feet above Urubamba Valley, Peru. There, stand two mountains- Machu Picchu (old mountain) and Huayna Pichu (young mountain). On a cloud draped ridge between the two lies the site of Macchu Picchu. It is the estate of the Inca king, Pachacuti, who lived from 1438-1471. This site is made up of buildings arranged in groups which are made mostly of granite. A trail called the Inca Trail will lead you to the site. It is one of the best 10 trekking trails in the world. You will see many llamas at Macchu Picchu. Macchu Picchu is one of the 7 wonders of the world. |
