Galle Face Green

The Galle Face is a 5 hec.(12 acres) Ocean - side urban park, which stretches for 500 m (1,600 ft.) along the coast, in the heart of the financial and business capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo. The promenade was initially laid out in 1859 by Governor Sir Henry George Ward, although the original Galle Face Green extended over a much larger area than is seen today. The Galle Face Green was initially used for horse racing and as a golf course, but was also used for cricket, polo, football, tennis and rugby. There were also pony rides.

Today Galle Face is a popular destination for children, teenagers, kite flyers, picnickers and food vendors. People come in the morning and evening to relax, take in some fresh air, walk and jog along the beach. Kite festivals, open air shows and Independence Day celebration are held at the Galle Face Green.

Nuwara Eliya

Nuwara Eliya is one of the most beautiful cities in Sri Lanka.
It is situated in the central province.
Nuwara Eliya is also called little England.
Horton plans National Park is a famous tourist declination.
Nuwara Eliya has a cool climate.
There are a lot of vegetable farmers in Nuwara Eliya.

Horton plains

Horton Plains has become a very popular place among both local and foreign tourists. It is situated in the highland in the central province of Sri Lanka. The distance from Nuwara Eliya to Horton plains is 32 K.m.
Horton plains are considered the highest plateau in the country. It is at a height of 2300 meters. This was discovered by Sir Robert Horton. The park which is 3160 hectares was declared a National Park in 1998.
This is a place with a rich biodiversity. It is home to a wide variety of endemic fauna and flora.
Horton plains also feature many interesting attractions such as the Baker's Falls and the famous world's End.
We must take necessary steps to protect this treasure for the future generations.

Peradeniya Botanical Gardens.

The Peradeniya Botanical gardens is one of the most beautiful places in Sri Lanka. It is situated in the hill country at Peradeniya. Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya are about 5.5 km to the west of the city of Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. In 2016, the garden was visited by 1.2 million locals and 400,000 foreign visitors. It is near the Mahaweli River.. It features a grand Avenue of Royal Palms, an artificial lake with water plants, and is home to the National Herbarium of Sri Lanka. Its history dates back to the 14th century, though it was formally established in 1843 and was once used as the Allied Forces Headquarters for the Asian region during World War II. I like this places very much.
