Dambulla cave Temple


Dambulla cave TempleThe largest and most important cave temple in Sri Lanka is the Dambulu Raja Maha Viharaya.
It was built by king Walagamba between 103-89 BC.
The Maharaja Viharaya contains 160 large cave statues and a large number of murals depicting the Buddha's characteand the history of Sri Lanka.
The painting seen to day was painted by artist named Devaragampala during the reign of king Kirthi Sri Rajasinha during the Kandyan period.
This is the largest collection of paintinas in one place in Sri Lanka.
Galle Dutch Fort

Galle Fort,in the Bay of Galle on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, was built first in 1588 by the portuguese, then extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century from 1649 on wards.
It is a historical, archaeological and architectural heritage monument,which even after more than 423 years maintains a polished appearance,due to extensive reconstruction work done by archaeological bepartment of Sri Lanka.
The fort has a colourful history,and to day has a multi-ethnicand multi-religious population.
The Sri Lanka government and many Dutch people who stillown some of the properties inside the fort are looking at making this one of the modern wonders of the world.
The heritage value of the fort has been recognized by the UNESCO and the sit has been inscribed as a cultural heritage UNESCO world Heritage site under criteria,for its unique exposition of "An urban ensemble which illustrates the interaction of European architecture and south Asion tradition from the 16th to the 19th centuries," The Galle Fort, also known as the Dutch Fort or the "Ramparts of Galle," withstood the Boxing Day tsunami which damaged part of coastal area Galle town.
It has been since restored.


Tempel of Tooth

Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, sri Lanka.
It is located in the royal palace complex of the former kingdom of Kandy, which house the relic of the tooth of the Buddha.
since ancient times,the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believen that whover holds the relic holds the govermance of the country.
Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a world Heritage site mainly due to the tempel.
Bhikkus of the two chapters of Malwatte and Asgiriya conduct daily worship in the inner chamber of the tempel.
Rituals are performend three times daily;at dawn,at noon and in the evening.




My pet


I have a pet dog.His name is Tommy. His colour is brown. He has a nice tail.I play with him.He eats rice,fish,meatetc.He is very loyal to me.He guards our house. Tommy loves me very much. once I became ill,then Tommy looked sad. When I became god again,he was very happy. Tommy is really a member of our family.
My hooby

My hobby is Reading.I like to read story books. Reading is a good brain exercise.I have collection of many books. I spend my leisure time reading books.Reading increases our knowledge.It makes us smart. It improves our vocabulary.
