| The animal shelters of Ohio
The many animal shelters of Ohio are a major issue that so often gets overlooked. Every animal shelter in Ohio is in need of better conditions. When I say better conditions I mean things such as every animal in an animal shelter in Ohio is kept in a cage almost every hour of the day. As well as the fact that animal shelters are a nonprofit organization therefore they cannot provide the animals with much food, or medicine or anything else an animal may require or be in desperate need of. If we only knew how difficult these animals lives are we would give everything we had to help them but that is not what you have to do you could make any size donation whether it be pocket change or a dollar, anything will most certainly help. You do not even need to donate just take an animal off the hands of the shelter, why buy a dog or cat when you could save one that is in desperate need of a home. About 5 to 7 million animals enter animal shelters nationwide each year and about 3 to 4 million are euthanized (about 60 percent of the dogs that enter and about 70 percent of the cats). With all of these animals entering shelters in the United States each year we have to do something. If we start with the Ohio shelters we could continue to contribute to shelters all across America. All I ask is that you consider making a donation to you local shelter here in Ohio or maybe even think about adopting an innocent animal from you local shelter. With everybody’s help we can make a huge impact on the animal shelters in Ohio and all across the United States of America.
