MY COUNTRY
My country is Sri Lanka. It is a beautiful island in the Indian Ocean.
It is called "The pearl of the Indian Ocean". The capital Sri Lanka is Jayawardanapura Kotte.
Colombo is its business centre.
Sri Lanka has population of more than twenty milion people.
The national bird of my country is the jungle fowl.
The national flower is water lily.
The island s beach is beauful.
There are Sinhalese , Tamils , Muslim and Burghers in my country.
I love my country.
