Sigiriya is mentioned in lagend as a built by king kashyapa.
it is located in Kimbissa area Matale district hear Dambulla town in the central province of sri lanka .
The sigiriya complex built around a 600 foot high mountain,was built in A.D functioned as the capital of the country in the century.
He buit his palace on top of this rock and decorated its sides with colorful murals.
on a small plateau about halfway up this rock , he built a gate in the form of a giant lion.

SINHARAJA FOREST

The sinharaja forest reserve is a nathional rainforest loceted in the central highlands of Sri Lanka, stretching along the southwestern border of the country, with an elevation range of 300 to 1170 meters and covering an area of 11,250 hectares, bordering the Galle district.It has received international attention and has been designated as a biospere reserve and a world heritage site by UNESCO.
This rainforest,which is a part of the wet zone forest ecosy stem in Sri Lanka , has been protected from commercialization due to difficult access
.This was designated as a biosphere reserve in 1607 and as world heritage site in 1988, which was another reason for it.
The name "sinharajaya" in the reserve means"Lion's" kingdom.

Dogs

A dog is milk-drinking four legged animal.
A human is primarily a creature that during the time humans spent in the age of foraging ,
they had to be lazy.
Archaeological evidence suggest that dogs lived along side humans as far back as about 50,000 years ago.
Dogs live in every country of the scientific name of the domestic dog in canis lupus familiaris.
Their ancestral predecessor is said be wolves .Although dogs are omnivores ,
they show a greater preference for meat consumption.

Temple of tooth
Sri DALADA MALIGAWA,Commonly know in English as the Temple of the SECRED tooth relic , is a Buddhist temple in Kandy,Sri Lanka.
It is located in the Royal palace complex of the former kingdom of Kandy,which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha.
since ancient times,the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the Country .
the relic was hisrorically held by Sinhalese kings.
the temple of the tooth is a world Heritage site mainly due to the temple and the relic .
Bhikkhus of two particular chapters ,the Malwathu chapter and asgir chapter, conduct daily worship in the inner chamber of the temple.
Rituals are performed three times daily at down , at noon and in the evenings .
on Wednesdays ,there is a symbolic bathing of the relic with a herbal preparation made from scented water and fragrant flowers called Nanumura Mangallaya , this holy water is believed to contain healing powers and is distributed to those present .
the Kandy Esala Perahara,is conducted annually to pay homaye to the sacred Tooth Relic.
