During this period, a multitude of rituals are observed. These include engaging in auspicious activities, lighting the hearth, boiling milk, performing religious ceremonies, communal eating, and visiting relatives.
A special feature is the preparation of traditional sweets like Kavum, Kokis, and Aasmi, along with discarding old clothes and wearing new ones.
Visiting relatives and New Year games are also prevalent during this time.
