All about the Musical Wicked



Hello my name is Shelley! This is a blog all about the broadway musical "Wicked". It's a story about Glinda and Elphaba (the wicked witch) when they were friends. It is based back at Shiz (their school) were they first meet because they are room mates. It is really interesting because it explains to you how they became who they are today. My cousin Emily really got me hooked on this musical. In the summer of 2005 she was telling me that she went to see this musical and she told me all about it, and so I went to a sold-out show with my mom! It was amaizing! If you are thinking that this is for little kids, you are really wrong. Well, enjoy these pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!


This is the scene were Elphaba sings "Defying Gravity". It is a cool scene, because she flys in the air, and this is kinda were she begins to be "Wicked"! My cousin Emily sings this song really nice!!!


This is Glinda. She's the good witch who makes Elphaba popular!

This is the scene were Glinda found Elphaba freaking out because she wanted her dead sister's shoes back from Dorthy.
Fun Fact: They didn't have characters play the lion or Dorthy, they just had special
effect voices.

This is Glinda when she was going to give the ugly hat to someone she hated. Her friends told her to give it to Elphaba, and so she did. That's how Elphaba got her witch hat!!!!!


This is when Glinda and Elphaba were in the Emerald City waiting to visit the Wizard Of Oz!!!


And ofcourse we have to give credit to "Stephan Schwartz", who wrote all the lyrics for "Wicked", and composed all of the music!!!
