The Captain America movies: In World War II, a normal guy named Steve Rogers who hates bullying signs up to undergo an experiment. Many years later, Captain America wakes up in the 21st century, and now must start a new life working for S.H.I.E.L.D.

The Thor movies: Once there was a Norse god of thunder named Thor...sounds like normal mythology, right? Well, not until Thor accidentally winds up stranded on a planet full of "petty and tiny mortals" called Earth. Thor learns about Earth while being there, and even develops a romantic relationship with one of the women, but in the end he returns to the immortal world he came from to deal with his evil brother, Loki. The Districts are ruled under a wealthy and cruel Capitol, which forces each District to send one boy and one girl in between the ages of 12 and 18 to compete in an annual "Hunger Games"-a fight to the death in the dreaded arena. Katniss ends up competing and winning the 74th Hunger Games. Her actions stir up the people of Panem, and soon Katniss finds herself being the figurehead of a new war, where the Districts have finally summoned the courage to rebel against the Capitol once and for all.

The Divergent series: Beatrice Prior is a normal teenage girl living in future dystopian Chicago (Which has been split into five "factions." The people of the faction match the faction's overall aptitude/personality; the Erudite are the smart, the Amity the loving, the Abnegation the selfless, the Dauntless the brave, and the Candor the honest. Note that two other groups are the factionless and the Divergent; the factionless don't belong anywhere, while the Divergent can belong in more than one faction and are considered dangerous to the system.). Beatrice takes a test to see which faction she is from and finds that she is Divergent. When she is then forced to choose which faction she'll live in the rest of her life, she chooses Dauntless. Marty and Dr. Brown then go on various time-traveling adventures throughout the movies.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off: A normal teenage prankster named Ferris Bueller is determined to get a day off, so on one of his school days he pretends to be too sick to leave home. The Hobbit series: Bilbo Baggins is a somewhat elderly Hobbit (which is basically a very short human with hairy feet) who peacefully lives in a magical world called Middle Earth. However, things turn upside-down when the well-known wizard Gandalf and fourteen dwarves invade Bilbo's home and have "an unexpected party" there. Gandalf and the dwarves tell Bilbo that they need his help, for a dragon has been guarding the ancient dwarves' treasure for many decades and the dwarves want it back; however, they'll need a Hobbit to help them. Bilbo agrees to come with them and sets off for the adventure of his lifetime.

The Lord of the Rings series: When Bilbo retires, he gives his young nephew Frodo a magic ring he's had for years. The ship sank, and only two survivors remained: Pi and the Bengal Tiger from the zoo, Richard Parker (The man who caught him named him Thirsty, but when Pi's family purchased Richard Parker for the zoo, the names of the man and the tiger got reversed. They laughed about it, and decided to keep the name.). After many months of surviving at sea and making miraculous and strange discoveries, Pi and Richard Parker make it to somewhere along the coast of Mexico. Richard Parker abandoned Pi and ran off into the jungle, and Pi moved on to Canada, where he has been living peacefully ever since.

Maleficent: In a kingdom split into two parts (one half being the Moors, a fairy kingdom, and the other half being a normal medieval human kingdom), a fairy named Maleficent meets a human named Stefan. The two seemingly fall in love, but Stefan eventually prefers power over love, so in order to gain the throne he pretends to kill Maleficent by chopping off her wings and bringing them to the dying king of the human kingdom. Stefan is crowned king, but Maleficent, wanting vengeance, curses Stefan's daughter, Aurora (whom Maleficent is not the mother of), to touch a magic spindle on her sixteenth birthday and be put in a death-like sleep; the curse can only be broken by true love's first kiss. To try to protect Aurora, Stefan makes three fairies raise Aurora as a common peasant in the middle of the woods. Aurora meets Maleficent and develops a mother-daughter relationship with her; this is cut short when the curse comes into effect. However, Maleficent herself wakes up Aurora, and the two work together to fight Stefan's reign of tyranny. In the end, Aurora is crowned queen of both kingdoms.

Throughout the rest of the epic adventure, James Bond is determined to protect M and keep her out of Silva's clutches...even if it resorts to doing things the old-fashioned way.

The Amazing Spiderman: A teenage boy named Peter Parker is leading a normal life-until one of his friends, a scientist named Dr. Conner, shows Peter some of his experiments with lizards (for Dr. Conner lost one of his arms and has been obsessed with finding ways to regrow limbs; this leads to his interest in lizards). One day, Peter Parker goes snooping around the labs Dr. Conner works in and ends up being bitten by a strange spider, which results in him obtaining spider-like powers and abilities. Peter Parker then takes up the habit of kicking bad guy butt with his powers, but when he lets one of those common criminals go, that criminal kills Peter's uncle. Peter then tries to make up for his uncle's death by taking on the alias "Spiderman" and making crime-fighting more than just a habit. However, meanwhile, Dr. Conner has found a way to regrow his arm, but his experiment backfires and he is transformed into a giant, evil, and indestructible lizard...

Spaceballs: This movie is a Mel Brooks Star Wars parody. In a future where an uncountable amount of planets have been discovered and these planets have formed a sort of "galactic empire," a certain world, Planet Spaceball, has wasted all its air. President Skroob, leader of Planet Spaceball, sends out his two minions Lord Dark Helmet and Colonel Sandurz in a spaceship called Spaceball One to kidnap the princess of nearby planet Druidia so that they can use her as ransom to gain access to Druidia's air. The Notebook: Based on a true story and a novel of the same name, this movie takes place in 20th century California. A man named Noah is pretty desperate for a girlfriend-specifically, he is desperate for a girl he knows named Allie. This is basically a romance movie with a "historical twist" to it.
