Power of The Daleks

After Barbara Wright and Ian Chesterton are brought back to earth, the Doctor is joined by two new companions, Ben and Polly.
They watch as he regenerates, transforming into a much younger man, played here by Patrick Troughton.
In his first episode, 'The Power of The Daleks,' we see them land on the planet Vulcan where he is mistaken for an official of earth.
He soon finds out that a scientist by the name of Lesterton, is trying to bring back the Daleks after discovering them in a space rocket which had crashed.
The people of Vulcan ignore his warnings about the dangerous Daleks, as they begin the process of reproducing themselves in order to take over the colony.

In 'The War Games,' soldiers, called 'The Invicible Army',taken from different points in history, have been brainwashed and forced to take part in a war on a planet where the inhabitants are known only as 'The Aliens.'
The plan is to use the army to take over the galaxy.
The Doctor, after sneaking into the base, discovers that the war chief in charge of the whole operation is in fact a Time Lord.

Having been forced by The Time Lords to return to Gallifrey, the Doctor is made to stand trial and answer to why he stole the TARDIS. He is charged with breaking the laws of time and interfering with the histories of other planets.
The Doctor tells them that he has to do this as there is evil, like the Cybermen to be fought.
The Time Lords agree that earth is a place often under attack and therefore his punishment is to be exiled there. They disable the TARDIS and remove information from the part of the Doctor's brain that knows how to repair it.
They also tell him that his appearance must change. But after refusing any of the images that are presented to him, the decision is soon taken out of his hands.
He next wakes in a dark void, with the Time Lords telling him to begin his exile on earth, to which he is non to happy.
