Filipino-Italian Cuisines

Pasta ( Spaghetti)

An Italian cuisine that is commonly serve in Filipino gatherings whether in a birthday party or just a simple lunch. It seemed different from Italian spaghetti since the latter is sour. The Filipino has sweet sauce.

Below is a list of ingredients and procedure on how to make a delicious Filipino Style Spaghetti.
Ingredients•
1 kilo spaghetti noodles• 3/4 kilo ground beef • 750g Spaghetti sauce• 1/2 cup water• 1 cup minced onion• 1 head of garlic finely minced• 3/4 kilo hot dogs• 1/4 cup sugar• 1 bottle banana ketchup• 1 box quick melt cheese•salt and pepper to taste
Procedure•
Cook the noodles as per package direction.• Slice the hot dogs preferably in wedges.• Heat some oil. Saute garlic and onions. Then add in the meat. Cook till brown. Season with some salt and pepper.• Pour in the spaghetti sauce, ketchup, sugar and water.• Mix and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until it gets thick and red.• Add the hotdogs.• Mix and just let the hot dogs heat through. Sauce is done!• Top the noodles with the warm sauce. Sprinkle with quick melt cheese and then, you can now enjoy the Filipino Style Spaghetti.


Pizza


Following suit after we've tapped a portion of Italian cuisine through the Filipino-fusion pasta dishes we had, was the Peking Chicken Pizza which had generous toppings of flaked roasted chicken, hoisin tomato sauce, Chinese sausages, shitake mushrooms and cheese. Although Pizza is originally Italian, this Pizza of our country is touch by a Filipino taste, changing some of it's ingredients to suit up the taste of the Filipinos.


Cappuccino

A cappuccino is a coffee drink topped with foamed milk. It is made in a steam-producing espresso machine.It is an Italian beverage which was adopted by the Filipinos. Most Filipinos enjoy drinking this kind of coffee not only because of its taste but also because of its appearance.


CHAMPAGNE

It is originally came from Italy which is served in different parties like weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. It came from fermented grapes. Its taste is more appealing if the fermentation process is longer.
